Created for the Electroshoc Festival which features digital arts, this mechanical hanging garden revisits the relationship between man and society. Lionel has created an installation with ivy that opposes panels lit by a very cold blue tint. Green all year round, ivy represents the permanence of the vegetative force and the eternal cycle of death and rebirth. Lionel’s mobiles are hypnotic machines either suspended in a vacuum, or placed on the ground, which evovle in the space of articulated arms. The viewer finds themselves dreaming in the face of these magic mechanisms and sequence of learned movements.
